Performs duties needed to support students, faculty, administrative staff, and test takers. Ensures the smooth operation of the office.
Duties/
Responsibilities:

Provides assistance and information to visitors, students, faculty, and staff. Answers the telephone, routes calls, and accurately records messages, and schedules appointments.
Participates in registration each semester by assisting students with completion of registration form and entering registration. Inform students of the procedure for registering on the web for seated and online classes.
Using organizational skills, knowledge of filing systems, and accuracy, maintains files of correspondence, reports, and general information for staff, faculty, and students.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of computer software/hardware and office supplies. Ensures that the copy machine is in working order.
Using a computer and software, types, proofs, and edits correspondence from handwritten documents; duplicates and distributes information.
Routes flow of information and correspondence.
Operate as Test Proctor for the St. Robert Test Center.
Assist military students with VA/military benefits questions.
Provide guidance to military students on available benefits.
Required Skills/Abilities:

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High school diploma, or equivalent, with some clerical/receptionist experience.
Ability to understand and interpret instructions to accurately complete work.
Ability to concentrate and attention to detail to accurately maintain records and relationships.
Ability to accurately key information for typing, correspondence, reports, and so forth
Ability to operate commonly used office equipment, such as telephone, voice mail, e-mail, adding machine, office copier, personal computer, fax machine, typewriter, and so forth.
Experience with and working knowledge of personal computers and software packages, specifically Microsoft Office, as well as the ability to learn and utilize the IB M iSeries and related software.
Ability to organize information for filing, and so forth.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills are required including courtesy and tact in order to deal effectively with callers, visitors, students, faculty, staff and Military personnel.
Ability to work well in stressful situations.
Excellent organization skills and knowledge of filing systems
Education and
Experience:

  • High school diploma, or equivalent, with some clerical/receptionist experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
